So - we're at the Anglian Potters (#Anglianpotters) Xmas Exhibition at the moment. It's on at All Saints Church in Jesus Lane Cambridge until the 8th December.
Ian Vance @ianvance one of the longest and most respected members chatted to me about my work. "Some of the other work has a clear and distinctive style" he said, waving at pretty much all the other work. "Yours is..that is.. doesn't." He didn't say quite so bluntly, but if he had I would have had to agree! The image to this blog is a small part of our catalogue.
The challenge of using 3D printing to make the moulds is that there are a world of possible forms to make, which doesn't really make for a house style. But I do take Ian's point.
Thing is, I don't really want to be boxed in yet, and when we go to Fairs, rather than a true exhibition, that range of product often gets us sales.
Something to think about and ponder, my style will probably always be eclectic! (I just checked - that has the definition: a person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. - yup, that's me!)
